The painting is about 2022, the year of covid, but the tired version of it, the one where we all are exhausted, the year where normality was supposed to return, BUT the war in Europe began. Inspired by „The Garden of earthly delights” Hieronim Bosh (background) and “The Soul of the Rose” John William Waterhouse.
Hieronymus Bosh painted a garden of earthly delights where individual zones were beautifully separated. The good, clearly defined, separated from the bad, the whole gave a sense of security, because by doing right you go to the good place and wrong to the bad place – everything is simple and clear. Everything is on fire in my Bosh’s garden, there are no safe zones. I do not believe in heaven or in hell beyond the earth – 2022 made me stop believing in justice, i.e. in the options for the above division here and now. BUT, and that’s about what this painting is, I will do good things anyway, not because there is somewhere after death or still on earth is an option for a reward or just for some justice. Actually, I do not expect anything good to happen to me anymore, and that good is the starting point, and evil just happens sometimes, that it is only a disturbance. However, despite everything, I will be a good person, I still believe in beauty and goodness, in values, even not because it is right … I am going to be a good person, BECAUSE I HAVE DECIDED THIS, because that is who I have decided to be.
Because where is the most valuable thing that you have and at the same time your greatest strength? In your mind, where your point of view is, your person and all your essence is.
This painting has many layers, some are very personal and some of them are not, this is my summary of 2022.
Obraz jest o 2022 roku, roku covid, ale tej już zmęczonej wersji tej gdzie wszyscy mamy dość, roku gdzie miała wrócić normalność tymczasem zaczęła się wojna w Europie. Inspirowany „Ogród rozkoszy ziemskich” Hieronim Bosh i „Zapach róży” John William Waterhouse.
Hieronim Bosh namalował ogród rozkoszy ziemskich gdzie poszczególne strefy były pięknie oddzielone. To co dobre jasno określone oddzielone od tego co złe, całość dawała poczucie bezpieczeństwa, bo postępując dobrze idziesz w dobre miejsce a źle w złe – wszystko proste i jasne. W moim ogrodzie Bosha wszystko płonie, nie ma bezpiecznych stref. Nie wierze w niebo ani w piekło poza ziemią – 2022 sprawił ze przestałam wierzyć też w sprawiedliwość, czyli w opcje na powyższy podział tu i teraz. ALE i o tym jest ten obraz, będę postępować dobrze mimo wszystko, nie dlatego ze jest gdzieś po śmierci czy jeszcze na ziemi jest opcja na nagrodę czy po prostu jakaś sprawiedliwość. Właściwie JUŻ nie oczekuje ze spotka mnie cokolwiek dobrego i że dobro to punkt startowy a zło się czasem przydarza., ze jest tylko zakłóceniem. Jednak mimo wszystko ja będę postępować dobrze, wierze dalej w piękno i dobro, w wartości, nawet nie dlatego ze to właściwe… Zamierzam być dobrą osobą, BO TAK POSTANOWIŁAM, bo taką właśnie osobą zdecydowałam się być.
Bo gdzie tkwi najcenniejsze co masz a jednocześnie twoja największą silą? W twoim umyśle, tam gdzie jest twój punkt widzenia twoja osoba i jej cala esencja.
Ten obraz ma wiele warstw, część z nich jest bardzo osobista a część nie, jest to moje podsumowanie roku 2022.
