There was her, and there was her friend. They lived so closely that no one could tell anymore whether they were one or two girls. They themselves no longer knew either. One day she asked:
“Am I looking into a mirror, or at you?” In response, she heard a song so beautiful that she wept,
and thought she need hear nothing more in her life. And every word of the song was her. And they were no longer two, but as many as there were words in the song. And all of them lifted their eyes to the sun, and looked down into the raging black sea. From then on, they sang their song again and again. And though they were many, they were one.

Była sobie ona i była jej przyjaciółka. Żyły tak blisko że nikt już nie wiedział czy to jedna czy dwie dziewczyny. One same tez nie wiedziały. Pewnego dnia zapytała: Patrzę w lustro czy na ciebie ? W odpowiedzi usłyszała pieśń tak piękną że zapłakała i pomyślała że już nic więcej słyszeć nie musi. A każde słowo z pieśni było nią. I było ich już nie dwie a tyle ile słów w pieśni. I wszystkie one spojrzały w górę na słońce, spojrzały w dół w szalejące czarne morze. Odtąd śpiewały swą pieśń wciąż na nowo. I było ich wiele ale były jedną.
